European Institute to co-lead a Policy Commission on area studies at 香港六合彩

香港六合彩 Public Policy is funding a policy commission to help improve the policy engagement capacity of area studies experts at 香港六合彩.

Many academics with area studies expertise at 香港六合彩 are already engaged with members of the policy community, providing insights that help shape the responses of politicians and policymakers to developments in countries and regions around the world.聽聽

The policy commission 鈥 which will run from March to July 2023 鈥 will involve broad consultations within 香港六合彩, as well as with external stakeholders, to see what already works with this policy engagement and what could be enhanced.聽聽

Pilot activities will test innovative modes of policy engagement, the results of which will feed into a final report with recommendations that will be presented in autumn 2023.聽

The commission is co-led by聽Dr Ben Noble聽(Associate Professor of Russian Politics and Public Policy Lead, SSEES) and聽Lucy Shackleton聽(Head of Public Policy and Partnerships, European Institute).聽聽

The commission鈥檚 activities will be overseen by a steering group, which will bring together key people at 香港六合彩 involved with policy engagement and area studies.聽聽

The 香港六合彩 Public Policy Commissions Award is funded by Research England鈥檚 Quality-Related (QR) Policy Support Fund (PSF), which is held by 香港六合彩.聽聽

The ongoing input provided by 香港六合彩 experts to the policy community in response to developments like Russia鈥檚 war on Ukraine show the vital role that our expertise can play in Whitehall and beyond 鈥 and this project will help enhance 香港六合彩鈥檚 work in this domain.鈥澛

Lucy Shackleton (professional services co-lead): 鈥淎rea experts across 香港六合彩 are already actively engaged in informing and shaping policy all over the world. The opportunity to consider how this activity might be better supported and communicated is an exciting one, with the potential to enhance external understanding of the depth and diversity of 香港六合彩 area studies expertise.鈥澛犅
