Advanced Management of Tinnitus and Hyperacusis

This three-day CPD-accredited Masterclass provides a comprehensive overview of tinnitus and hyperacusis and strategies for assessing and managing these conditions in adults and children.

Overview

During this long-established masterclass you will have opportunities to interact with a number of established international experts in the fields of tinnitus and hyperacusis and learn from them about theory, good clinical practice and recent research. You will also have an opportunity to discuss your own experience with a range of professionals from different backgrounds.

This 3-day course will take place in person at the Ear Institute. Days 1 and 2 will focus on tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia in adults. Day three willÌýfocus on tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia in children.

We strongly recommend that you attend all three days. Even if your primary interest is in paediatrics, a lot of the background information covered on days one and two will be relevant. If you have prior training or experience in tinnitus work, however, you may attend day three only if you wish.

The online day will take place in real time with lectures and discussions over Zoom. It will also be recorded, and all attendees of Days 1 and 2 will have full access to the recordings.

Topics

The course covers a wide range of topics on tinnitus and hyperacusis, including

  • The neurophysiology of tinnitus and hyperacusisÌý
  • Clinical assessment and management strategies for adults and children

These topics will be covered through a mixture of lecture presentations and interactive workshops. Supplementary learning material will be available on the course website.
