16:30 - 17:30 香港六合彩 Filmmakers聽panel discussion.
Professor Philip Horne (香港六合彩 English department) moderates a panel discussion with 香港六合彩 alumni who have gone on to undertake active roles within the film industry. It is the objective of the panel to discuss how each filmmaker made their journey, and what advice they might give to others attempting to do the same
18:00 - 19:00 Screening of 鈥楽UDDEN LIGHT鈥 (age guidance 15+ death and swearing) - A short film, followed by Q&A with its director and 香港六合彩 alumni Sophie Littman
Sophie Littman鈥檚 short film SUDDEN LIGHT was selected for competition in Cannes Film Festival 2020 and nominated for a BIFA 2021. After graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art, Sophie created a series of short experimental films that went on to screen at festivals such as Aesthetica and LSFF and shown via online platforms such as Nowness, and It鈥檚 Nice That. Her latest short, KNOW THE GRASS, was supported by the BFI and BBC Film. The film was selected for competition at London Film Festival 2021 and longlisted for a BIFA. Sophie was selected as a Screen Star of Tomorrow 2021 and is currently developing her first feature. After her film is screened, we鈥檒l talk with Sophie about the challenges of making SUDDEN LIGHT, and what her numerable short have taught her about making films in general.

Founders of the only British film club that keeps exclusively playing films on celluloid, Oscar long-listed director Liam Saint-Pierre and projectionist Umit Mesut will be screening a 16mm copy of Sunset Boulevard (1950, UK:PG). 聽Prepare for the traditional magic of Cine-Real projections described in Time Out as 鈥淭he Best Movie Night in Town鈥.

21:30 - 23:00 Online Q&A with Academy winners Eugenio Zanetti and Jenny Beavan聽
Winner of three Oscars with A Room With A View (1985), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Cruella (2021), costume designer Jenny Beavan will be joining Argentinian Art Director 聽Eugenio Zanetti, winner of an Oscar for Restoration (1985) in an online Q&A around the topic of Production Design
