Performing Planet Activism: A sharing of creative climate projects
18:00 - 20:00
Join Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Museums & Cultural Programmes for a showcase of new collaborative arts and climate projects commissioned and supported through the Performing Planet Activism programme. The event features short (10-15min) talks and performances from some of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê researchers and artists involved, alongside a chance to explore the newly re-opened Grant Museum of Zoology and hear about the Museum’s improvement programme.
Performing Planet Activism is an activity strand that brings together research, climate activism and artistic interpretation to generate public engagement, inspire action and create space for dialogue.
Showcased projects use theatre, magic, performance-based workshops and interactive gameplay to explore research topics including extreme heat, collaborative and community action, climate change communication and international climate financial systems.
The event is aimed at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê academic and research staff interested in creative collaboration, but anyone interested in this area is very welcome to attend.
