The world is full of problems, but it’s also full of brilliant people, chipping away at those problems with their ideas and expertise.
Focus on the Positive ran from 2012-2017 and gave public groups theÌýchance to choose how to improve the world. At the events, some of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’s inspiring researchers sharedÌýexactly how they want to tackle the Big Issues in our world. The audience then hadÌýa chance to mingle and debate the issues before voting on what they wantedÌýto support right there on the spot. The winning researcher gotÌý£2,000 to spend on the idea that theyÌýproposed. A runner-up also received £1,000 to take their project forward.
It’s wasÌýgreat opportunity to debate some big questions, meet people who are passionate about changing the world for the better, and make a difference!
