There are a number of PGTA opportunities for postgraduate students to work in the department during theÌýacademic year.Ìý
The purpose of these PGTA posts are to support teaching, learning, and assessment activities within a module. The module tutor defines the specific activities of the role, based on local needs. In general, the duties of a PGTA may involve:
- Prepare and deliver seminars tutorials for modules Contribute to marking of coursework/exams
- Participating in weekly PGTA helpdesk and respond to email queries from students within reasonable periods
- Attend lectures for the modules taught (at discretion of module tutor)
- Attend regular meetings with module tutor to discuss issues arising

Requirements for roleÌý
The successful candidate will be pursuing a postgraduate degree, preferably associated with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Department of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering or studying a related subject. Ìý Previous teaching experience is an advantage. All PGTAs must complete training within the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Arena One scheme, normally available in September. This will be in addition to guidance or mentoring provided by the department for their PGTAs.- Assist the module tutor with delivery of the course as otherwise required
- Actively promote Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê policies, including Equal Opportunities
