Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê

We are pleased to announce that our second year MEng student Cai Xinrui has been recently awarded additional funds from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê ChangeMakers.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê ChangeMakers is about collaboration and innovation to enhance the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê learning experience. Students and staff work together to make changes for the benefit of everyone in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community.

Cai's work is built on creating a media based encyclopedia, which has been picked up by our  as an annual competition that is also sponsored by .Ìý

In addition, she presented a poster of her work at the conference at Leeds University.

The awarded funds will be used to study the effectiveness of this form of encyclopedia to teach new concepts to our students. Which she hopes can be a good supplement to traditionally delivered lectures.

This experience has increased her interest in continuing her education, and she is seriously considering pursuing a PhD and perhaps an academic career.
