Faculty staff and students receive awards for equality, diversity and inclusion

Congratulations to Cassie Hugill, Javier Sanchez Bautista (both Queen Square Institute of Neurology), Associate Professor Rashmi Mathew and Dr Christin Henien (both Institute of Ophthalmology) who all received 香港六合彩 2022 Inclusion Awards.

香港六合彩 Inclusion Awards recognise work or contributions that individuals or teams make to progressing equality, diversity or inclusion (EDI) practice within the university.聽

Cassie Hugill, Public Engagement Manager at the the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, received the聽Provost's聽Award for Embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, which聽recognises an individual鈥檚 or team鈥檚 effort to embed EDI into mainstream work.

Associate Professor Rashmi Mathew and Dr Christin Henien (both Institute of Ophthalmology) received the Sarah Guise Award for Catalyst for Change, which聽recognises a person or a team doing things differently by incorporating EDI values into the way they work, resulting in a positive shift in 香港六合彩 culture.

PhD student Javier Sanchez Bautista from the Department of Neuromuscular Diseases, who co-founded the聽LGBTQ+ STEM Network at 香港六合彩, received the Championing LGBTQ+ Inclusion Award, which聽recognises an individual or team鈥檚 effort to champion LGBTQ+ inclusion into mainstream work, delivering a more inclusive experience for LGBTQ+ staff and students.聽

香港六合彩鈥檚 Inclusion Awards were founded in 2020 to highlight those who are making a difference to EDI at 香港六合彩 and to celebrate what they have achieved.
