Built Environment Discovery Days

Sessions designed for students who are curious to learn more about the built environment, and want to see what we have to offer at The Bartlett.

The Bartlett Outreach team, in collaboration with The Bartlett School of Architecture, will be running an ArchitectureÌýDiscovery Day on Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê campus for students in Year 11-12Ìýon Tuesday 13thÌýFebruary from 09:45 – 14:30.

During the session, you will have the opportunity to learn about the different Architecture degree programmes available at The Bartlett, speak to current Bartlett Architecture students, academics, sample a taster workshop and see our Bloomsbury campus.

Here are some of the things you can expect to receive from the day:

  • Arrive, study, and have the chance to explore Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê campus on a tour
  • Learn about our exciting Architecture degree programmes at The Bartlett
  • Experience a taster lecture and workshop just like a university student
  • Speak to current university students and ask questions to find out more about being a student at the Bartlett
  • Gain valuable advice to help you plan and submit applications for Higher Education

The day will be interactive and we encourage you to engage with the presenters and student ambassadors, with there being an opportunity to ask all of your questions. Lunch will also be provided.

Eligibility

To widen access to The Bartlett for underrepresented groups, we prioritise working with students that meet two or more of our criteria:

  • Attend a non-selective, low performing state schoolÌý
  • Currently in years 11-12
  • Have parents or carers who did not attend universityÌý
  • Are eligible for free school meals
  • Postcode data showing live in neighbourhoods with high levels of deprivation and low progression rates to higher education
  • Are from groups currently underrepresented at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê eg forced migrants, young carers, students estranged from parents, care-experienced students and disabled students
  • Are from ethnic groups currently underrepresented at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÌý
