Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê IIPP launches the UK Sustainable Development Solutions Network

As the host institution for the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), IIPP will convene UK universities to advance practical solutions to achieve the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

On Monday 31 January 2022, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) hosted the virtual launch of the (³§¶Ù³§±·Ìý±«°­).

Consisting of ,Ìýthe UK networkÌýjoins over 40 national and regional SDSN hubs.ÌýSDSN UK aimsÌýto mobilise knowledge centres in the UK around practical solutions to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.ÌýIn particular, the network will provide a platform for effective engagement with research and policy agendas related to the SDGs.Ìý

Audience members included representatives of SDSN UK member institutions, Global SDSN delegates, colleagues from IIPP and the wider Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community. ÌýIIPP Founding Director Mariana Mazzucato opened the event with a welcome address, followed by a keynote speech from Professor Jeffrey Sachs, the UN SDSN President.

Key addresses were also followed by four project showcases from SDSN UK members. ²¹²Ô»åÌýIIPPÌýpresented case studies on their policy work, and theÌýÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýÌýpresented on innovative student initiatives.Ìý
