Carlota PerezÌýstudies the socio-economic impact of major technological change. Author of the influential Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital, she is Honorary Professor at IIPP and at SPRU, University of Sussex, a Visiting Professor at LSE and at TalTech, Estonia. Carlota’s current research project analyses the historical role of government in shaping the context for innovation.

Kate RaworthÌýis a renegade economist focused on exploring the economic mindset needed to address the 21st century’s social and ecological challenges, and is the creator of the Doughnut of Social and Planetary Boundaries. She is a Senior Visiting Research Associate at Oxford University’s Environmental Change Institute and is the author of the critically acclaimed book,ÌýDoughnut Economics.
