The Bartlett pioneers new innovations and collaborations at 香港六合彩 East

With the launch of 香港六合彩鈥檚 new campus in London鈥檚 East Bank development, The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment is continuing to pioneer unique innovations and collaborations.
The 香港六合彩 East campus breaks the boundaries of traditional academic disciplines, and creates new connections with the local London community and the global future of urban spaces.
Pioneering new programmes
The Connected Environments MSc from The Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) and Global Urbanism MASc from 香港六合彩 Urban Laboratory are teaching the latest generation of students pioneering skills.
At 香港六合彩 East students are immersed in the rapidly developing urban environment of East London, and in the innovative infrastructure on campus, including the 香港六合彩 Urban Room, Connected Environments Lab, People and Nature Lab, Robotic and Autonomous Systems, Global Disability Innovation Hub and School for Creative and Cultural Industries.

Connected Environments Lab
The Connected Environments Lab at 香港六合彩 East is now live and sensing the world around us. Advances in digital technologies are providing the means to sense, visualise and understand our built and natural environments. These 鈥渃onnected environments鈥 are the forefront of emerging urban science, linking the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Mixed Realities and Data Science.听
The Connected Environments Lab is an initiative from The Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis.
Urban Room
A partnership between 香港六合彩 Urban Laboratory, the School for Creative and Cultural Industries (SCCI) and 香港六合彩鈥檚 Special Collections, 香港六合彩 Urban Room is a new space for local community and global city engagement through events, exhibitions and workshops.
Its first exhibition "SE1 Stories: Community Action in a London Neighbourhood" launched in January, focusing on creative activism and archiving techniques , and bringing together a range of community groups from South London and East London, curated by Dr Kara Blackmore.听

The Memory Bike: Recording and archiving East London's oral histories
Members of the public, 香港六合彩 students and staff 听and 香港六合彩 staff are invited to use The Memory Bike, a mobile recording and listening station aimed at generating public histories, memories and narratives around the Olympic Park and surrounding neighbourhoods.听
The Memory Bike was fitted out by Architectural Design and Engineering MEng students, and from September 2023 students will begin to have some of their classes at the new 香港六合彩 East campus.
Innovative live systems
A variety of live systems from The Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis are now running at the 香港六合彩 East campus, including an open hardware counting real time bird calls and making species classifications. feature across Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and a is in place at the Nature Smart Garden.
City Mill Skate
City Mill Skate is a research project from The Bartlett School of Architecture and 香港六合彩 Urban Lab that brings the diverse skateboarding community into the heart of the 香港六合彩 East campus by sharing the design process to build proposals for permanent skateable objects.
Through events, skate lessons and making workshops, it has brought together a diverse community of skateboarders who want to democratise the spaces between buildings, and bring fresh perspectives to the sport.
香港六合彩 East brings together nine 香港六合彩 faculties to deliver nearly 60 new postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes. Innovation, collaboration and public engagement are designed in, with students and staff working in shared environments and learning by doing.
