香港六合彩 Institute for Sustainable Heritage champions interdisciplinary research, bridging science, arts聽and humanities to lead the advance and recognition of the value of cultural heritage. The post聽holder will undertake research focussed on understanding chemical and physical degradation聽processes within plastic artefacts in museums, as part of the ERC Starting Grant funded project聽鈥淐OMPLEX: The Degradation of Complex Modern Polymeric Objects in Heritage Collections: A聽System Dynamics Approach鈥�. This will include accelerated degradation experiments and material聽characterisation and is in collaboration with Tate and the Museum of London. The post is for 4 years聽in the first instance, further funding to support the post may be available.

Key Requirements

The post holder should hold a PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or a related聽field. They should have experience with material analysis and characterisation techniques such as聽FTIR, XRF, GC/MS, SEM, DSC, TGA. They should have the ability to conduct high quality research and聽a track record of high quality publication in scientific journals.
