Arsenal Football Club has come to be understood as the locus of everyday Black identification through its historic association not just with Black London, but Black identities globally. Launching the stunning new book, Black Arsenal: Club, Culture and Identity, this book draws on a number of perspectives through the optics of film and television, sociology, geography, gender, and cultural studies, from former players and prominent fans and from the world of music, fashion, journalism and popular culture, to reflect on the ways in which Arsenal as a club and a culture has been central to the development of both multicultural London and Black British identity.

Please note this event is first-come, first-served and is limited capacity.Â
