Ìý
This course will explore African cities through the lenses of spatial justice and social diversity, challenging myths and assumptions about urban development and demonstrating how different processes interact and shape the development of a city.
Ìý
The course is a work-in-progress and was developed by the lead educators Andrea Rigon and Joseph Macarthy and produced with the support of Alexander Stone and Joanna Stroud. It follows a face-to-face course with the same contents delivered in June to 25 Sierra Leone civil servants, academics, civil society leaders and urban professionals selected from more than 200 applicants. This online course is also an attempt to meet the great demand for learning in this field and we hope it will also attract new students to the DPU and Njala University.
