The D&AD Awards were launched in 1963 by David Bailey, Terence Donovan and Alan Fletcher, a year after founding British Design & Art Direction. Spanning seven disciplines and 42 categories, the awards celebrate creative communication across the arts and advertising industries. The winners will be announced at a live-streamed ceremony over 26 and 27 May.

The Summer Show 2020 ran from 10 September to 2 October. Launching virtually for the first time, last year’s show enabled the school to navigateÌýsome of the physical obstacles posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and celebrate the skill, imagination and achievements of its students in a groundbreaking digital exhibition space.

Digital agency Hello Monday worked with The Bartlett’s exhibitions team to create an innovative, walk-through digital environment of 32 rooms showcasing the work of undergraduate and postgraduate students across four programmes. The virtual exhibition hall was augmented by a comprehensive search tool and detailed exhibit pages for each student, enabling the viewer to explore the design process of each project.
