The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Institute of Archaeology was one of 7 universities to be included in theÌýfirst cohort of archaeology departments to be awarded CIfA accreditation. Our undergraduate students learn about a full range of theoretical, analytical and field methods and also have the opportunity to follow their interests in particular chronological periods, geographical areas or special fields of study.Ìý

Diverse range of archaeological topics
The Institute of Archaeology's degree programmes offer an unrivalled variety of optional modules, covering a very diverse range of archaeological topics in both a theoretical and a practical manner.
Optional modules include everything from Roman Art and Architecture to Archaeometallurgy and from Archaeology and Plants to Human Evolution and the Archaeology of Mesoamerica.ÌýView all Modules at a glance. Fieldwork
Most of our Undergraduate ProgrammesÌýincludeÌýpartially funded fieldwork opportunities.ÌýOur students undertake fieldwork both in the UK and overseas - recent locations includeÌýSpain, France and Montenegro to Belize, China and Uganda.
