Anthropology PhD student wins Photography Competition

Lydia Gibson, a PhD student at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Anthropology, has won the student prize for the People and Nature sub category in the British Ecological Society’s annual photography competition ‘Capturing Ecology’.
Lydia's winning photo 'Birds of a feather', taken in a newly designated protected area, captures the complex biological and cultural considerations of hunting threatened parrots.
Founded in 1913, the British Ecological Society (BES) is the oldest ecological society in the world. With images taken by international ecologists and student, this annual photography competition celebrates the diversity of ecology.
