On 22 March 2017 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Americas academic staff delivered a short course on key historical and contemporary themes and issues in Latin America to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The course drew on staff expertise and covered the UK's historic links with Latin America and its legacies in the region; the recent performance and prospects of Latin American economies; the current political landscape; and the dynamics of criminality, violence, and insecurity in contemporary Latin America.
