Abstract

What is a Large Language Model anyway?
In this talk, we will discuss the background and development of LLMs, including key architectural features of LLMs that enable them to process and generate text with unprecedented coherence. We take a look at LLMs as a statistical modelling paradigm beyond a specialised chatbot.

Sneha Jha is a postgraduate researcher at Imperial College London. She received a graduate degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania, USA and has worked across academia and industry for a number of years. Her research interests are in machine learning and NLP with a focus on solving problems in healthcare.
