  1. An arch across the board that centers a charcoal drawing with two hands touching, one rested on top of the other. on each side of the drawing there is a smaller size drawing of insects. On the right there is a drawing of a fly and on the left, there is a more ambiguous insect, both isolated and bigger than life.

  5. The three different levels of metamorphose shapes of sleeves got fossilified. Fragments of clothing mimic some shells of insects in nature blending into a tree branch which became part of living beings in nature.

    Working primarily with video game engines, Freddie Sanders explores contemporary understandings of collective mythology, individual agency and speculative worldbuilding. Often recreating existing real-world locations virtually, his work questions the perceived boundaries between the physical and the digital, and of reality and fantasy.

  8. This work is a triptych piece that is made up of three canvas’ of two shades of blue denim. The canvas’ are hinged together and fold mostly inwards. The inward folding of the canvas shows the back of the denim that has been sewn and stapled. On the left-hand side is a piece of string rapped around the dividing line of the denim. On the right-hand side is a LED strip light lighting up a line of the denim. Around the piece is a charcoal drawing of a wooden frame directly onto a white wall.

  11. The structure of sculpture is like a male reproductive organ with black and shine colour. The shape of sculpture is look like one pair of abstract high-heels.

    Here are some sculptures based on some gender considerations. This is one of my early works which tries to break the boundary between female and male. It is also a resistance to gender stereotypes and patriarchal society. I totally respect traditional binary identity, and I also stand with the concept that gender should not be assigned at birth. Nowadays, gender presents a variety of possibilities in discursive social practices, so in an open society, how comfortable can we be with this?

    Flowers are a symbol I鈥檝e painted in the past that I have a personal connection to. Flowers represent beauty, healing, growth, and a diversity of self and community in my practice. In Bloom is a work part of the series titled, Floral Arrangement, where I depict different emotional states of growth through colour relationships, different forms of mark making and the flower motif.
